The problem
TV Monaco is Monaco's first general-interest public channel. The new channel was officially launched on September 1, 2023. It is a 360-degree media platform offering a wide selection of linear and on-demand content. TVMonaco aims to raise the Principality's international profile.
Creating a new 360 media from scratch is quite an endeavour. The ambition was to come up with an innovative infrastructure, but not one that would "innovate to innovate". TV Monaco was looking for smart and cost-efficient solutions that would be easy to integrate and operate and could evolve over time as the broadcaster reached its cruising speed.
Solution
Artisto was selected for its versatility and modularity.
Artisto serves as a backup for the audio console, the management of coordination and monitoring communications in SIP, the audio processing and automixing for the commentator booth.
Deployment
The project was carried out by French system integrator CVS, in partnership with Qvest. Only 8 months elapsed between the award of the tender for the technical installations and the launch. The installation in the building started only 3 months before the official launch.
CVS handled all the configuration and integration of Artisto. CVS directly deployed specific user interfaces for the SIP communications and the commentator's booth using Artisto's iFrames. No specific support or developments were required on the On-Hertz side.
Artisto is deployed on-prem on a Windows server.
TV Monaco selected an Icon Audio controller for the Flexible Mixer, used as the backup audio mixer.
