Virtual audio specialist On-Hertz successfully secured funding from investors in the three Belgian regions to fuel its growth and reinforce its unique position in the broadcast industry.
Thanks to its award-winning virtual radio studio technology, the start-up, founded in 2018, already counts some prestigious European broadcasters among its customers and is looking at reaching more on its global market. The company also just announced a new solution for automating any workflow involving sound, reinforcing its position as the virtual audio specialist in the media industry.
The investment will be key in the ability for the company to reach more and more broadcasters and accompany them in their transition from hardware-intensive facilities to flexible and scalable virtualised infrastructures.
Originally a member of the imec.istart program (now an alumnus), On-Hertz could count on the extended support of the no.1 university-linked accelerator in Europe (source: UBI Global). Reserved to a few selected projects, imec.istart Fund shows its confidence in the venture and further expands its stake in On-Hertz. imec.istart Program Manager Sven De Cleyn states: "The traction of On-Hertz's virtual radio studio proofs it's tapping into a real need for the rapidly evolving media sector. We are very happy to offer further funding and support for the international expansion of our program alumnus On-Hertz."
Sambrinvest, one of the financial partners of choice for SMEs in Wallonia, with more than 200 companies in its portfolio, becomes the largest shareholder next to the founders.
